Meet Chef Pedro Porras

Founder of Saberico | Spanish Chef Specializing in Paellas & Tapas

From Córdoba to Atlanta

Hola, I’m Pedro, a Spanish chef from Córdoba and the founder of Saberico. My love for cooking started at home, watching my grandmother and mother transform simple meals into family celebrations. That’s where I learned food is more than flavor — it’s about connection, tradition, and making people feel cared for.

A Culinary Journey

For over 20 years, I’ve cooked in fine dining and Michelin-starred kitchens around Europe, including:- Six Senses Hotel (Ibiza, Spain)- Bodega Estadio (Copenhagen, Denmark)- El Señor Martín (Madrid, Spain)- Corral de la Morería (Madrid, Spain)But no matter the setting, my goal has always been the same — to bring people together through food and create moments they’ll remember.

The Vision Behind Saberico

At Saberico, I believe every meal should tell a story. Rooted in Spanish tradition and shaped by global experience, my cooking brings people together through authenticity, care, and emotion. We don’t just serve food — we create moments to remember.

More Than Cooking

Over the years, I’ve learned that being a chef is more than cooking. It’s also about:-Warm, attentive hospitality
-Smooth, stress-free planning
-Beautiful presentation
-Calm, professional service
Bringing together technique, tradition, and care is what transforms a meal into a true experience.

Beyond the Kitchen

In 2023, I traveled through Latin America, reconnecting with the roots of food — honest, shared, and full of emotion. When I’m not cooking, you’ll probably find me outdoors — fishing, hiking, or exploring nature. It’s where I recharge, stay grounded, and find inspiration for my cooking.I’m a storyteller, a traveler, and someone who believes deeply in the power of sharing meals to bring people together. I value connection, culture, and creating experiences that leave a lasting impression. When I’m not cooking, I enjoy meditation, spending time in nature, listening to music, hanging out with friends.

Let’s Make a Great Experience

Now based in Atlanta, I bring the flavors of Spain — and the spirit of Saberico — to every event, one dish at a time.
Ready to bring people together over great food? Let’s create something special.

Tapas & Paella:
More Than a Meal, A Way of Life

Paella

What is Paella?

Born among the rice fields of Valencia, paella is more than a recipe — it’s a tradition, a symbol of togetherness, and the taste of the Mediterranean. For generations, families have gathered around open fires to prepare this dish as a community — blending local ingredients with stories, laughter, and wine.Paella doesn’t follow one strict formula because it’s not a single dish — it’s a cooking method, rooted in patience, heart, and good company.

What makes a great paella?

It’s built slowly from the base — the sizzle of olive oil, golden garlic, ripe tomatoes, smoky paprika, and saffron-infused broth turn humble rice into a rich, layered experience. It can feature:
- Fresh seafood
- Succulent meats
- Local vegetables
- Or a combination of all
At its heart, paella is a ritual — not just a recipe.

TAPAS

What are Tapas?

In Spain, tapas are more than food — they’re a ritual of connection.Sharing tapas means sharing time. They’re meant to be enjoyed slowly — with a glass of wine, a cold beer, or vermouth — surrounded by conversation and laughter. There’s no first course, no main dish — just freedom, flavor, and togetherness. From humble origins — a slice of bread or jamón placed over a glass — tapas evolved into a vibrant Spanish tradition, bringing people together everywhere from city plazas to small village bars.
